ADHD and Executive Function Coaching

What is ADHD and Executive Function Coaching?

ADHD is not just about being easily distracted or hyperactive. ADHD impacts a person's ability to regulate their attention, manage time, stay organized, and complete tasks efficiently, a reality that can make everyday activities feel like climbing a mountain. Moreover, constantly feeling like your brain doesn’t seem to work quite “right” can be an intensely taxing, lonely, and confusing experience.

That's where Executive Function Coaching comes in! This coaching isn't about "fixing" you, but rather helping you develop strategies and techniques tailored to your unique strengths and weaknesses. It's like having a supportive partner who's skilled in understanding the ADHD brain and can provide practical tools for managing time, setting goals, and staying organized. Together, you work on building these essential executive function skills, thereby accumulating personal successes, increasing confidence, and discovering strengths you didn’t know you had.

Who is ADHD Coaching for?

Surprisingly, ADHD Coaching is not at all just for people who have been diagnosed or believe they have ADHD! Rather, ADHD Coaching can be helpful for anyone seeking to improve their executive function skills (perhaps due to going up a grade level, starting a new job, or simply wanting to live up to your full potential.)

ADHD Coaching also often covers a lot more than simply increasing productivity: it helps individuals unearth their passions, clarify life goals, and even understand their emotions better. Having a supportive coach by your side is not just about managing tasks better; it's about forging a deeper connection with yourself and having a trusted ally on your path to a more fulfilling life.

Why Annika?

Annika was diagnosed with ADHD later in life and initially struggled to understand and adapt to her diagnosis without much professional support, so she can personally relate to both the stigma and difficulties of living with ADHD. As a middle school teacher, she also quickly became well-acquainted with the widespread need for compassionate, practical, steady support for neurodiverse learners. A lifelong listener, Annika has found her niche applying the JST Coaching Model, the only research-based student coach training in the world, in addition to her patient and open-minded approach to teaching and facilitation in order to guide others to personal growth.

Annika is passionate about one of the core tenets of coaching — that the coach and coachee are equal partners — and thrives on the genuine relationships she builds with her clients.
